Experimenting with one of the first photographic techniques — cyanotypes. Anna Atkins, a Victorian botanist, collaborated with Sir John Herschel to find a way to document her botanical specimens. I am drawn to exploring the world of plants and curios about how my gathered materials interact with this printmaking process. While I begin with gathering plants in the tradition of botanical study, I use experimental printmaking techniques to discover the story plants have to tell the artist.
