This is taken from the height of land at the top of the Y road looking down on Raymond Whites ranch. This setting for a ranch is one of the nicest in our hills. We are looking down on Conglomerate creek, first called The Little Frenchman Creek in the 1900's. This ranch was started by Harry Cross in about 1895, In the winter of 1900-01 Harry got petitions and started the first Eastend post office, Mail was delivered from Maple Creek on a weekly basis , He sold out to Tom Kokott in 1916. In 1946 William (Billy) White, Raymond's father bought the ranch. To the left in the photo is Calf coulee and Calf Creek, where at one time corrals for weaning calves were built. As well sometime after they bought the ranch former owners of the White ranch the Kokotts established a popular little resort in this coulee . Can anyone share any info on this?
