Observations of dancers and aerialists working in a demanding, distorted, critical environment to create ephemeral art that pleases an audience, often unaware of the risks and sacrifices behind the performance. I use the photographic process as an investigative tool to freeze time and magnifying moments. I seek universals, digging beneath the surface for invisible truth, open to the optical unconscious revealed by my camera. In my quest for the poetic, my photography addresses the nature of permanence and impermanence in asking, “What remains?”
